SMS Messaging Terms of Service

The following terms apply to SMS text messages sent by Chehalis River Farm.

Programs

We operate two separate SMS programs:

  1. Chehalis River Farm Pre-Order Notifications — transactional order messages. Opt-in happens automatically when you submit a pre-order, because these messages are required to fulfill your order.
  2. Chehalis River Farm Updates — optional marketing messages about new bake schedules, harvest news, and seasonal offerings. Opt-in is onlyby checking the “farm updates” box on the pre-order confirm form.

Program descriptions

Pre-Order Notifications confirm your order, remind you of your pickup date, and update you about the status of your order (for example, if an item becomes unavailable). These messages are order-related only.

Farm Updatesshare occasional news about what’s coming to the stand — upcoming bake lists, new products, and seasonal openings or closures.

Message frequency

Pre-Order Notifications:typically 1–3 messages per order (confirmation, reminder, and any follow-up if needed).

Farm Updates: up to 4 messages per month, often fewer. We keep it low-noise on purpose.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Chehalis River Farm does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may.

Opt-in

Pre-Order Notifications: by providing your phone number during checkout, you consent to receive SMS messages related to that order.

Farm Updates:only delivered if you explicitly check the “Send me occasional farm updates” checkbox on the pre-order confirm form. We never send marketing messages without explicit opt-in.

How to opt out

You can cancel either SMS program at any time. Text STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message and will not send further marketing messages. Transactional messages for an active order may still be delivered so we can complete your order.

If you want to rejoin Farm Updates later, you can re-opt-in by checking the checkbox again on your next pre-order.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most other US wireless carriers.

General Terms

By placing a pre-order, you agree that all orders are subject to availability and that pickup must occur on the scheduled date unless arranged otherwise. Payments made through Square are non-refundable once an order has been prepared; contact us directly if there is an issue with your order.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The current version is always available at chehalisriver.com/terms-and-conditions.
