Chehalis River Farm (“we,” “us”) operates chehalisriver.com and a small pre-order system for our farm stand. We believe in keeping things simple and only collecting what we actually need to get your order to you.

What we collect

The only personal information we collect is:

  • Your phone number, when you place a pre-order or contact us.
  • Your order details (what you ordered, pickup date, and order status).

We do not collect email addresses, physical addresses, payment card numbers, location data, or browsing history. Payments are processed by Square, which handles card data directly — we never see or store it.

How we use it

Your phone number and order details are used to:

  • Confirm and track your pre-order.
  • Send transactional SMS messages about your order (confirmation, pickup reminder, status updates).
  • Reach you if there’s an issue with your order.
  • Send occasional farm updates by SMS — only if you opt inby checking the “farm updates” box at checkout. Opt-in is never assumed.

Marketing opt-in (farm updates)

When placing a pre-order, you can choose to receive occasional SMS updates from us about new bake schedules, harvest news, and seasonal offerings. This is strictly optional and entirely separate from order-related messages.

You can revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, and we will stop sending you marketing messages immediately. Order-related (transactional) messages about an active order will still be delivered so we can fulfill your order.

What we never do

  • We do not sell your information.
  • We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing or advertising.
  • We do not send marketing messages to anyone who hasn’t explicitly opted in.

The only exception to these rules is if we are compelled to disclose information by a valid legal request from a court or law enforcement agency.

Service providers

To operate the pre-order system, limited data is processed by trusted service providers acting only on our behalf:

  • Twilio — sends order-related SMS messages.
  • Square — processes card payments when applicable.
  • Vercel & Neon — host the website and database.

These providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can reply STOP to any marketing SMS from us to immediately opt out of farm update messages. You can also contact us at any time to have your phone number and order history removed from our records.
