Chickens & Eggs
Our mixed flock of heritage birds — Barred Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, Breese, Black Marans, Ameraucanas, and Easter Egger mixes — roam the pasture through three seasons, doing what chickens do best. Feed comes from Patriot Feed Supply in Winlock, rounded out with garden trimmings and the occasional family scrap. No hormones, no weird stuff.
Most hatcheries ship chicks in bulk, and we're not fans of the process or the casualties. So we hatch our own — from our own pasture-raised flocks. We run several A-frame chicken tractors through the raspberry rows, each housing a single breed (typically a rooster and eight hens) producing purebred hatching eggs and working the soil while they're at it. Regenerative farming the old-fashioned way.
We offer farm-fresh eggs, whole chicken, hatching eggs, day-old chicks, and adult laying hens — all raised the slow way, out here along the trail.
